FIFA ANNOUNCES HOSTS CITIES FOR FIFA WORLD CUP 2026

While anticipation builds for the 2022 World Cup later this year, FIFA already began exciting fans for the 2026 tournament with its announcement of which North American cities will be hosting games.

Unlike previous World Cups, where a single country has hosted the tournament, the 2026 edition will split the matches across 16 cities in Canada, the United States and Mexico.

The United States 🇺🇸, host cities include Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Miami, New York and New Jersey, Philadelphia, the San Francisco Bay Area and Seattle.

In Canada 🇨🇦, host cities include Toronto and Vancouver City and in Mexico 🇲🇽, host cities include – Guadalajara, Mexico City and Monterrey.

It will be the first time in FIFA history that three different countries will host the matches, and it will be the first time since 1994 that the games will be played in the U.S.

The tournament is expected to be one of the most lucrative in the history of global soccer, in part because it will take place in the world’s largest media market. Fox Corp. and NBCUniversal’s Telemundo will broadcast the tournament in English and Spanish to US viewers.

The World Cup is an event that only happens every four years, and getting the chance to host it is a huge honor. The attention of the entire world is focused on one country for the tournament and that means the cities and stadiums hosting these matches go through big upgrades.
