Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss, the famed Ellen DeGeneres Show DJ, has died by suicide at the age of 40 in a motel just one mile away from his home.
The Dj’s death was confirmed by his wife, Allison Holker, who shared a heart-warming statement to the People Magazine on Wednesday.

“It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share my husband Stephen has left us. Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans ” read the statement.
Allison went to promise to honor her husband’s memory as well as save the last dance for him. She added that she would like some privacy as she and their three children; Weslie, Maddox, and Zaia mourn their tragic loss.
It is reported that Boss was found dead in the motel room and had a self-inflicted gun wound. The motel staff revealed that they did not hear any gun shots. According to them, Boss had booked the hotel for a night and seemed happy while checking in.

However, when the time for him came to check out, he was a no show which led to the staff going to check up on him only to find him dead.
His wife had earlier reported to the police on Tuesday that Boss had left home without his car which was unusual for him.

His former boss, Ellen DeGeneres, paid tribute to him stating that he was pure love and light and added that she will miss him.
“I’m heartbroken. tWitch was pure love and light. He was my family, and I loved him with all my heart. I will miss him. Please send your love and support to Allison and his beautiful children- Weslie, Maddox, and Zaia.”
