Paul Okoye, one half of the Nigerian singing group P-Square, has finalized his divorce from his wife Anita Isama, ending their eight year-long marriage.
Anita filed for a divorce in 2021 citing that their marriage had several problems including; infidelity, a fake separation, being an absent parent, fraud, and other challenging situations. According to her, their differences are irreconcilable.
The Abuja High Court, chose to give the parents of three, joint custody of their children, meaning they will each have equal shared time with their children.
However, Anita also asked for $20,000 a month in spousal support as well as a few of his luxury mansions.
The divorce was not rosy as Anita accused the ‘Personally’ singer of failing to hold his end of the bargain when it came to a mall that he built and Anita partly funded. Anita revealed that she paid $22,000 in order for her to get the main offices in the mall but Paul failed to honor his end of the bargain.
“That I know as a fact that the Petitioner founded a company called TannkCo in 2019. That the Petitioner and the Respondent agreed to build a mall where TannkCo would have its main offices, and the Petitioner contributed N10,000,000.00 (USD 2,500) for the purchase of the land and the building of the mall.
That I know as a fact that the Respondent, upon completion of the mall, reneged on the agreement and failed to give TannkCo a space in the mall,” read her divorce petition.
