Love has a new chapter for one of Netflix’s most beloved couples. Lauren Speed-Hamilton and her husband, Cameron, have officially become parents, welcoming their first child, a baby boy named Ezra William Hamilton, born on October 1.
The couple shared the joyful news in a tender joint Instagram post, giving fans a glimpse into their first moments as a family, from hospital cuddles to quiet, love-soaked moments at home. They revealed that Ezra made his arrival slightly earlier than expected after Lauren experienced preeclampsia, a pregnancy complication that sent them to the hospital sooner than planned.
“After an unexpected turn with preeclampsia and a few days in the hospital, we’ve been taking it slow… healing, resting, and soaking up all the love. 💛,” read the post.

The couple first revealed that they were expecting a child in May. They revealed that they had been trying to conceive for 4 years and had to get IVF. The couple went through even more distress as Lauren’s father passed away just before she found out that she was pregnant, which made the positive test a light in the dark tunnel.
During the journey, they embraced transparency: they talked publicly about fertility, the emotional toll, and how it affected their relationship. For example, in an October 2024 podcast episode, they discussed “fertility and our fertility journey.”

The two share an extraordinary love story as they met and got married on Netflix’s reality TV show, Love is Blind. The show brings people together and allows them to get to know each other in rooms called ‘pods’ where they can only hear each other’s voices but cannot see each other. This allows them to get to know each other and possibly fall in love based on personality and conversations.
The Hamiltons proved that love is truly blind as they got engaged in October 2018 and tied the knot in November 2018, just a few months after officially meeting each other. They are now gearing up to celebrate their 7th wedding anniversary with their little one.
