Patrice Motsepe, president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), is confident that an African team will advance to the FIFA World Cup final in 2026.
The United States of America 🇺🇸, Mexico 🇲🇽, and Canada 🇨🇦 will host the next edition of the global soccer fiesta.
He made this declaration on the outstanding performance of Morocco 🇲🇦 at the just concluded 2022 World Cup, where the team became the first African team to reach the Semifinals of the tournament since its inception in 1930.

Mr. Motsepe believes Morocco’s performance has created a foundation for both confidence and ambition going into the upcoming finals.
“I’m confident that in the next World Cup, an African nation will go further,” “The historic achievements of Morocco have made all of us in Africa uniquely proud. The future of African football is incredibly bright. “If you look at the talent on the continent, there are 10-15 nations in Africa now that can compete at the highest level in the world and win.”
