Bad Bunny revealed that Jay-Z personally called him while he was working out at the gym to break the news to him. The ‘MÍA’ singer immediately did pull-ups. “It’s crazy cause I was in the middle of a workout. I remember that after the call, I did 100 more pull-ups. I didn’t need any more pre-workouts,” he said in a FaceTime interview.

According to the Grammy winner, the moment is not just about him; it’s about everyone else. “I’m really excited for my friends, family, and Puerto Rico. All the Latino people around the world. I’m excited about my culture. I’m excited about everything, not just for me. You know what I’m saying.”

Jay-Z, signed an agreement with NFL back in 2019 to serve as the live music entertainment strategist for the NFL, under his company, Roc Nation. This gives him a significant role in deciding who takes the stage. The rapper praised the 31-year-old singer for his dedication to his homeland. “What Benito has done and continues to do for Puerto Rico is truly inspiring. We are honored to have him on the world’s biggest stage.”
